Three Digital Firms Sign Dumbo Leases

Official.FM, North American Ideon, and Breakfast have signed leases for space at 20 Jay Street, 45 Main Street and 55 Washington Streets, respectively, in the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn.

The landlord in these transactions is Two Trees Management Co., which owns most of the Brooklyn neighborhood of DUMBO ("Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass") as well as significant properties in Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill and Williamsburg. The company's recent expansion into Manhattan includes the 1.1 million square foot Enrique Norten-designed Mercedes House at 53rd Street and 11th Avenue.

"In June, we became the city's first community to offer free Internet connectivity on our streets, parks and plazas," said Caroline Pardo, Director of Leasing for Two Trees. "Digital companies are drawn to working here and we welcome our new neighbors to our burgeoning digital business community."

Representing the landlord for the Official.FM and North American Ideon leases was Alex Bos of Two Trees; Caroline Pardo represented Two Trees with the Breakfast transaction. No brokers represented the tenants.

Another digital amenity in DUMBO, recently announced by Mayor Bloomberg and other local officails, is a new City-sponsored business incubator to support the development of technology startup businesses in Brooklyn. The DUMBO Incubator, located at 20 Jay Street, will accommodate technology entrepreneurs in the downtown Brooklyn neighborhood.

Official.FM U.S.A. Inc, is a company that offers artists, labels and music media a website to share their music. They signed a lease for 1,590 square feet of space in 20 Jay Street. This will be their U.S. office location and they will continue maintain a presence in Europe.

Ideon Financial Solutions, a company that produces software and provides support for financial institutions, has leased 1,436 square feet of space at 55 Washington Street.

Breakfast L.L.C., which creates and develops new digital products and custom technology, will be renting 1,436 square feet of space at 55 Washington Street.
