Ecological LLC, a Manhattan-based consulting firm targeting sustainability and energy efficiency programs for individual buildings, tenants, and portfolios, has agreed to relocate into 5,906 SF on the third floor of 267 Broadway in Lower Manhattan.

The firm was previously headquartered in the offices of New York City Accelerator for a Clean and Renewable Economy (NYC ACRE), a business incubator, on the 12th floor at 160 Varick Street. The move includes 20 employees.

Vice President David Herbert in Chicago and Associate Vice President Gary Ceder from the UGL Services New York office negotiated the lease on Ecological's behalf. James Searl of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord of 267 Broadway, The Roe Corporation.

The Roe Corporation is expected to deliver a new turn-key installation with multiple "green" elements incorporated into the build-out.

"The space offered quite a bit of character our client was seeking, including exposed brick walls and large, virtually floor-to-ceiling windows facing east and overlooking City Hall Park," said Ceder.

Lindsay McLean, Executive Vice President of Ecological, went on to state that leasing space has, "given us the space we need to expand to meet the demands of the New York City Audit and Benchmarking Market. We are growing to help more buildings in New York comply with Local Laws 84 and 87."

Out of 35 companies occupying space in the business incubator, Ecological was one of the first to move out on its own with help coming from the New York City Economic Development Corporation.
