David Eyzenberg Joins New Oak Capital to Lead Commercial Real Estate

NewOak Capital has appointed David Eyzenberg Managing Director and Head of the Commercial Real Estate division, where he will be responsible for directing the firm's principal activities in that sector.
Based in Manhattan, NewOak Capital provides advisory, asset management, and solutions services to global institutions.
Prior to joining New Oak Capital, Eyzenberg was President of Prodigious Capital Group. Since its founding in 2005, he led the firm in consummating over $350M in financing and advisory assignments encompassing single asset, portfolio, and entity level financings; joint venture and structured financing; debt, equity, and hybrid products; and commercial mortgage-backed securities. Concurrent with his service at New Oak Capital, Eyzenberg continues to serve as an adjunct professor in the NYU Masters of Science in Real Estate program.
Prior to forming Prodigious Capital, Eyzenberg was the head of the New York office of Madison Capital Group, responsible for the origination and execution of real estate investment banking transactions, specifically focusing on raising equity and structured debt to capitalize or recapitalize new and existing projects. While at Madison, Eyzenberg's team executed the capitalization of over $300 million of new multifamily development projects in the South Florida and Las Vegas markets. Preceding his position at Madison, Eyzenberg was a Director at Wall Street Realty Capital, a New York based spin-off of Cantor Fitzgerald, where he was involved in over $350 million in private merger and acquisition and equity/mezzanine placement assignments.
Previously, Eyzenberg was the Director of Real Estate at Greenstreet Partners, a private merchant bank, where he was in charge of overseeing a national portfolio of properties owned through various joint venture vehicles, as well as sourcing and analyzing entity and project level investments. Prior to joining Greenstreet, Eyzenberg was with Ramius Capital Group, an investment management firm specializing in hedge funds and real estate, where he sourced, evaluated and structured over $1.8 billion of debt and equity transactions nationwide encompassing all property sectors. Eyzenberg began his career as a member of Merrill Lynch's Real Estate Planning and Transactions Group, where he provided financial analysis support for domestic and international land acquisition, sale/leaseback transactions, leasing and office renovation/purchase efforts.
Eyzenberg is a graduate of New York University, where he received both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in real estate finance and investment. He has also served as the Vice President of the NYU RE Masters Alumni Board. Mr. Eyzenberg is a former board member of several nonprofit civic organizations. He is an active member of ICSC, RELA, YMBA, MBA, ULI and the NRC.
